What is Sprigly?
Sprigly is a privacy-first envelope budgeting app for Android. You enter transactions yourself, give every dollar a job, and your budget lives on your phone — no bank login, no account. The open beta is free on Google Play. You assign your income to categories ("envelopes") before you spend, so you always know exactly what’s left.
How do I get the beta?
Sprigly is in open beta on Google Play — anyone with an Android phone can install it, free, with no account and no invite: Get it on Google Play. The download page has the details.
Is Sprigly available on iPhone?
Not yet — the open beta is Android only. Leave your email and we’ll tell you when Sprigly arrives on iPhone.
What does “beta” mean here?
It means Sprigly works and people budget with it daily, but it is young and can still have rough edges. Export a backup now and then (Settings → Export data), and tell us when something breaks.
Where is my data stored? Is it private?
Your budget — transactions, envelopes, and accounts — lives in the app’s local database on your phone and is never sent to us or any server. The beta needs no account and no sign-in, so there is nothing for us to collect. One thing worth knowing: if you have Android’s own backup switched on, Android may copy the app’s data to your personal Google Drive. Our beta Privacy Policy explains exactly what that means.
Does Sprigly connect to my bank?
No. Sprigly does not link to bank accounts or use open-banking / PSD2 connections, and never asks for bank credentials. You enter transactions yourself, and reconcile against the balance on your statement.
Which currencies does Sprigly support?
USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD, AUD and CHF. You pick yours when you set up your budget.
How much does it cost?
Sprigly is free while it is in beta — there is nothing to buy and no subscription. The full release will be a paid app; we’ll announce what it costs, and give you plenty of notice, before the beta ends.
How do I report a bug or send feedback?
Email support@spriglyapp.com. It reaches the person who builds Sprigly, and bug reports during the beta genuinely shape what gets fixed first.
How do I delete my data?
Everything lives on your device, so you delete it there: Settings → Danger zone → Erase all data wipes your budget in one step, and uninstalling the app removes it too. You can delete individual items at any time, and export a copy first via Settings → Export data. The Delete Your Data page has the full steps.
Is Sprigly financial advice?
No. Sprigly is a budgeting aid, not financial, tax, or investment advice. You’re responsible for the data you enter and any decisions based on it.
