Savings goals
Some things you save for over months, not weeks — a new laptop, a holiday, an emergency cushion. Goals are Sprigly’s home for that kind of saving, kept separate from your everyday spending envelopes so the two never get tangled.
A goal is different from a savings account: a savings account is a real pot you move money into, while a goal is a target you fund toward. Reach for a goal when you want to watch your progress against a number and a deadline.
Two kinds of goals
- One-time — save toward a fixed total once, like “New laptop.” When you reach it, you’re done.
- Monthly — a recurring target you put a little toward each month, for an ongoing habit.
Create a goal
Give your goal a name, pick its kind, and set the target amount. You can add an emoji and, if there’s a date you’re aiming for, a deadline. With a deadline set, Sprigly can tell you roughly how much to put in each month to get there in time.
Add and withdraw funds
Put money toward a goal whenever you can — a little here, a little there. If you need some of it back, withdraw from the goal and the money returns to Available, ready to be reassigned. You can edit or remove any contribution if you logged it wrong.
Watch your progress
Each goal shows how much you’ve saved so far, what you’ve added this month, and how close you are to the target. If you set a deadline, Sprigly also estimates when you’ll finish at your current pace — so you always know whether you’re on track.
